A Reflection for Advent from the Joint Public Issues team
We are all concerned with the rising cost of living and the hardship this will cause for many in our country and around the world. The Joint Public Issues team writes:
"We believe in a God who fills the hungry with good things, even in the darkest of times. How might we share this message as we celebrate the birth of Christ the light this Christmas? "
Seven contributors from across JPIT’s denominations respond to God’s promise to ‘fill the hungry with good things’. Drawing from their context, they have produced resources to be used in churches this advent to explore our call to share Christ’s light in the darkness.
They include Advent in Palestine, A Liberationist reading of Luke 1:53, Wisdom from the food pantry.
