We are busy collecting items to fill 150 shoeboxes which will be distributed to vulnerable children through schools, nurseries, hospitals and orphanages. Donations of toiletries, wash bags, knitted hats and gloves, pencil cases, stationery, toys and sweets are starting to come in and many of our members here at SBC and also at other churches in the community are busy crafting and knitting.
Transport is a considerable cost and, as last year, we are hosting a Coffee and Cake morning with bring and buy / craft table to raise funds towards the transport
Saturday 14th September at Oasis from 10 till 12
Packing Day is Saturday 2nd November at Oasis and as in 2023, the shoeboxes will be heading to the Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Bosnia and Romania.
We trust that each shoebox will bring delight to the children who will receive them.
