Owen's Soup Success

Owen raises money in memory of his Dad

Owen Walley, one of our Urban Saints group, raised money for cancer charities by selling soup at the Sandbach Farmers' Market.
Helped by other members of Urban Saints, Owen raised £212 in memory of his Dad, who died from cancer last summer.
Owen said, “ I think my Dad would have been very happy that I was out there doing my bit. They will keep going until they find a cure and I want to help them. We are not giving up.”
The money raised has gone to Macmillan Cancer Support and Cancer Research UK. Owen presented a cheque to Pauline Minshull, chairman of the Sandbach branch of cancer UK.
