Peace in stress

In his message on 5th January, Alistair drew our attention to this verse from the hymn ‘Dear Lord and Father of Mankind’
which is taken from the poem by John Greenleaf Whittier:

Drop thy still dews of quietness,
Till all our strivings cease;
Take from our souls the strain and stress,
And let our ordered lives confess
The beauty of thy peace.

May the strain and stress of whatever you are facing this week be lifted from you

and may you feel the beauty of the Lord’s peace rest on you.
